All entities in EORSA-DB can be edited from their detail page. The following operations are available:

Edit an Element

  1. Navigate to the element’s detail page by clicking its name in any table or list.

  2. Click the Edit button on the detail panel.

  3. A side panel opens with editable fields. Depending on the entity type, the form may include multiple tabs (e.g., Details, Phases, Products, Parameters).

  4. Modify the desired fields and click Save.

Edit a Mission

Missions have a tabbed editor with the following tabs:

  • Details: Name, Short Name, Definition, Data Type, Start/End dates, Space Programme
  • Mission Phases: Add, edit, or remove mission phases and their milestones
  • Data Products: Manage associated data products
  • Parameters: Add or edit parameter values

Edit an Instrument (Payload)

Instruments can be edited with fields for:

  • Name, Short Name, Definition, Data Type
  • Start/End dates
  • Associated Spectral Bands
  • Equipment and SubSystems

Edit a Project

Projects support editing:

  • Name, Definition, Data Type
  • Associated Missions
  • Project Phases

Edit a Data Product

Data Products can be edited with:

  • Name, Short Name, Definition
  • Data Product Level
  • Associated ECV Requirements
  • Categories

Duplicate an Element

  1. On the element’s detail page, click Duplicate.

  2. A copy of the element is created with all its properties. Modify the name and other fields as needed.

  3. Click Save to create the duplicate.

Delete an Element

  1. On the element’s detail page, click Delete.

  2. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm to permanently remove the element.

Deleting an element will also remove its contained sub-elements (e.g., deleting a Mission removes its Segments, Phases, and Data Products).

Exporting Entity Data to Excel

All entity tables can be exported to Excel for offline review and analysis:

  1. Open the Data or Timelines page for the relevant subject (e.g. Mission, Payload, Data Product, Requirement, …).

  2. Apply any filter you need so that only the rows you want to see appear.

  3. Click Export As Excel in the toolbar to download the current view.

To edit entities, open each entity’s detail page and use the Edit action. The AddCoreData and ModifyCoreData permissions control what you can create or change. See Data Types and Permissions for details.
